SiteDesignWorks provides domain registration services with Dotster.com as a convenience for our hosted website clients. A domain name registration with Dotster is independent of your hosting account with SiteDesignWorks. Ownership of the domain name resides exclusively with you, the domain name registrant, for as long as you maintain the yearly renewal fees with Dotster.
You are not required to register your domain name with Dotster, or transfer an existing domain name registration to Dotster, in order to have a website hosted with SiteDesignWorks. You may register your domain name at any Registrar of your choosing.
Domains registered with Dotster are placed into a managed account accessible to you and to SiteDesignWorks technical and design staff. You may request to have your domain name moved to a private account with Dotster at any time.

- For convenience, you can transfer your existing domain name registration to Dotster to let our staff assist you with domain name management.

- Update Your Nameservers (DNS) with Another Registrar
- We can host a domain name that is registered at another Registrar. All you need to do is update the settings at your Registrar to let them know who your new website host is.
- Log in to your account at your domain registrar.
- Navigate to the DNS settings area. This process will vary slightly from one registrar to the next. Common button names may be 'Make Changes', 'Edit my Domain', or 'Change my DNS/Domain Name Server Settings'.
- Replace the current Name Server settings with the SiteDesignWorks Nameserver Settings listed below:
- Name Server 1: NS1.SITEDESIGNWORKS.COM
- IP Address (if requested): 161.58.88.97
- Name Server 2: NS1.DN.NET
- IP Address (if requested): 207.153.206.126
- Important: If your domain name is currently hosted with another company, changing your DNS will cause your current website to go offline. Any email accounts associated with your domain name will also become unavailable. Please let us know immediately upon changing your DNS settings so that we may minimize your website and email down time.
